Our PolicyThis is a letter from the Employer to and Employee inviting them to return to work. An Employee has no obligation to come into work during their Maternity Leave. However, if you wish for them to come into work for any reason then you will be request them to come in for a KIT (Keeping In Touch) Day. If you as the Employer are making the request for them to come in, you will want to send them this letter which includes the date you want them to come in, how long for and what rate of pay will be available for them to come in during the statutory leave. Having this letter and storing it in your PrimeHR Portal is a good way to keep a paper trail proving that you have made the request for them to come in. However, it is up to the employee if they want to come in during their Maternity Leave and they cannot be punished if they do not desire to come into work.
